Praying dad...

During the hardest moment in life for the past 30 years, I was always been prayed for by many. But today I just wanna tell you how much my dad had and has been praying for me and that has keep me from moving on and on and on and still on....
If you come to my house in Tawau, you will find a pillow that bas gone smaller and smaller each time I saw it. That's because my dad kneels on it every single night for more than an hour to just pray, for many and for me.
Since young, there's just too many things predictable and not predictable happen to me.  We can't change thing that ought to happen under His plans. But we can pray!  That's what God allow us to do and have given us that rights. So,  being  loving dad, my dad submit all his petition to God, asked for His grace and mercy.
Indeed, many obstacles were overcame.  Even for now that he had suffered a major stroke, I still  believes his is still praying for me.
Thats what one needed the most in life. A praying dad! Thanks, Dad!

Wise advice and encouragement!

During the most difficult time at this moment, I can only remember what my grandma used to told me and what my dad used to told me.  I attended a few friends' grandfather's funeral yesterday.  I happen to be able to listens some of the stories of their grandfather and I am not only encourage and inspired, but I  am also being reminded what my grandma told me once.
I am never a favourite grandchild of my grandma because I am her only granddaughter.  The boys somehow captured her heart. Of course, it's also because I am not as girly and I am not as loveable compare to the rest.  Worse still, I am not pretty, I am not cute, i never know how to speak to make her happy, I am not smart and I am just a weird, little girl.
I don't have much recollection of any fond memories between me and my grandma.  But in one particular, I remember she cut some guavas for her to eat and I asked her to eat with us (all my other cousins were around too, but I was the 2nd eldest) and she told me, she likes to eat the seeds as they are sweeter.  I believed her. Later, i told my mom about it and she laughed at me said I get cheated because she just loves us and wanted us to eat the fruits.  My grandma is not educated.  She worked like a maid when she was young before she married to my grandfather.  She was 'sold' from China to Macau, to HK and then to Sabah.  But from young, I thought my dad was very educated, i.e. he has a lots of knowledges in him.  He knows everything. He can solve all problems.  He speaks many languages and his English is good.  He always do translation for others. I remember people came over to my house to ask him help with his tax filing, etc.
I was told my grandma was making sure every of her children goes to school and be educated, no matter how hard life was then.  She can let go of everything else or sacrifices everything to make sure her children goes to school and get educated.
I remember when I was about to go to England for my degree, she had her 3rd time to stroke then... and I was so afraid that I won't see her again after I left.  So, I visited her more often those days and one of the very last thing i remember she told me on the day before i left was that "no matter what happen, just study until you cannot study anymore." Knowing that I am never good in studies, she still encouraged me.  It's like a force for me.  When I came back from England, she was no longer able to talk to me.  And that's one of the words and advises from my grandma until today.

Going bankrupt....

Yes. It has not been a fruitful and good year starting in February... after all the matters have ended... everything is so slow, especially the economic.... prior and after election.  I was hoping things will get better after election, but I realised, i was completely wrong... and after election, all government department are out here, taking a bite on everyone.  The worse is from Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri, the Tax department.  I am not only paying this year's tax.  But also next year... and by paying taxes, I seriously don't know how am I going to survive with paying mortgages on house and car.  Weird.  I wonder why do they want to do that... the only reason I know is that the government is ran out of cash flow.
With all these, my previous staff has left me a lots of mess to sort out.  including paying compensation, etc.  My fault because I have been too busy travelling to Tawau to take care of my parents.  He is not causing angers among my clients, but also messes up everyone's file.  Finally, i was overjoy when he resigned.  BEcause neither he wanted to listens to my instructions nor sort things out.  All he did was sit there and do nothing about it and make everyone furious and angry. I was being nice to him because he's a christian and he has room for improvement.  However, he's taking it too much and when he started to refuse to comply with every instruction I gave him and putting me in a mess, I just couldn't stand it.  Now that I am sorting out all the mess and suffering from the consequences.... here I am, in debts .... big debts... to a point i might need to go bankrupt if no potential business comes in ...

Facing KL

It has been a while since I last enjoy KL.  For the past 4 days, it has been great as I finally manage to face KL and all the people in the church and all others.  It has been really great, just like I went back home.  Met and/or bumped into many people.  Jamie, Mee Di, Mun Yee, Eva Chin, Yen Li, Salina, Eric Tai, the whole FCC church, some Christ the King members, Christ Church members, Laura Tan, Chung Su Min, Sheau Jiun and Howard and baby of course, Annie Soo and baby and family, Peter Yap and all, Kevin Chong & family, Kevin Loo, Esther and Ethan, Evelyn, Chung Su Kong, etc.  Emilianie, Lois Tai, Sarah Yon, Patrick, Elisa, Simon, uncle julian and aunty barbara, Esther and Wilson and the 2 kids, Siew Weng, Siew Fei, my cousin Dorothy, Tia and the 2 kids, .... Lee Chiun... walau.... and the list go on.  It's really great to see all of them.  All i missed are those who attended Sat service.  Otherwise, the list will be even longer....
I didn't realised I have so many friends in KL. hahaha.... yes.  At the end of the day, I still ask the same question, "Why God wants me to come to KK?"  OH well....If it's His purpose that I ended in CCL and get humiliated and rejected and suffer... with both ministry, life and works... I seriously have nothing much to say. He wins. hahaha...
But being able to face KL and missing KL ... and going back to places I dare not to step in anymore was a great and wonderful feeling indeed.  It's a feeling of winning, breakthrough and overcome all together.
Man... at least, this time, I didn't end up with sickness, just that one piece of my luggage is not back with me YET.  I hope i can collect it tomorrow morning after church and no complication on it.

Journey to the west

It has been a while since my last visit to my old home. Main reason for not returning there often becauae I don't really like this place. I always end up being sick at the end of my trip. I hope this time I won't get sick as the schedule is a bit too tight.
Oh well, these few weeks has been crazy, stressful and tiring.  Been staying up late in the office to finish work, etc.  It is just too much because clients started to demand more WITHOUT wanting to pay. Things just screwed up by my previous resigned staff. His name has been mentioned at least 20 times a day. He sometimes gets some curse too.
Anyway, I am working on UNPAID works these days and I am worry about income for sure. So, what do I do in KL? Meeting good old friends. AM getting old. I am at a stage in life where I look for old friends and they look for me because their children are now all grown up...
Besides that, of course... To get some necessary shopping done.
Nothing about the rally though. Hahaha...

Unethical?

I seriously won't use this word against my fella colleague, because I always think every qualified lawyer are to know what is ethical ever since they are called to the Bar.  I was wrong in thinking that because many are lousy lawyer which means, they can be unethical in every moves they make.
I just happen to come across one and get very pissed off by him ever since I have this case in hand.  It's always the intention to settle the matter amicably between the parties, but my learned friend has somehow made all the moves to made it 'impossible to perform'.  Thinking back, it's just how amazing he deals with things.  I can forget the way and the angers that arose in me.  But... when it happen again today, i just feel so wanted to smash him on his face.
After the trial, he who represented the Plaintiff called me, (the 6th defendant's lawyer), asking me if I can ask my client to help him get a settlement done between his clients and the 1st - 5th Defendants, with the condition he and/or his clients are not going to get any compensation from my client.  With such juicy condition, how can i hesitate? I called my client immediately and I forwarded to him immediately a draft Deed of Settlement.  But he didn't reply.  Instead, he went ahead to settle with the 1st-5th Defendants and later, asked my client to pay him RM200,000.00.  I was furious.  Called the 1st-5th Defendants asking what happen and they told me, it's him to said he will not want to include the 6th defendant's settlement.
Great!  First round, it didn't work out.  I set it aside as I have other matters to worry then to worry about this.  I filed my notice of appeal to the court and application to stay of proceeding and execution.  He then called, asked if my client can call RM20K.  I confirmed with my client and told him it is possible if a Deed of Settlement is to be executed between the parties.  He refused.  With his refusal, the matter came to court this morning.  The Court asked to settle by entering a consent order.  The Court allows a stand down for 30 minutes to sort out the terms. I refuse to pay RM20K.  He asked me how much then. I told him, RM0.  He got angry and said, how about RM15K? I said, if that's his offer, i will confirm with my client.  He agreed.  I called client, and ok with it.  When I told him, he said, it's not an agreed sum because he has not asked his client. Bloody hell, i didn't know lawyer like him is like a dog to his clients.  Anyway, it then took about 45 minutes to get to his client and got the settlement sorted out.  I wonder why did he even offer RM15K if he cannot speak on behalf of his client.
Unethical of him because he has been an idiot.  He doesn't want to settle.  He is not taking the RM15K to his client.  He is taking it into his own account because his client didn't pay him.  It gets on my nerves more when i know he has received RM2million from 1st to 5th Defendants and that sum, according to the 1st to 5th defendants are the total sum including my client's portion.  But he was being greedy and asked RM200K fro my client again.
So unethical!
I just can't bear with unethicality anymore....
