A Truely Merry Christmas!!!

Indeed, I had a Merry Christmas this year. I celebrated this year Christmas at home, Tawau with my parents and some other relatives who came back from other part of the world. I am satisfied with my holiday and celebration. Well, even thought I was on 'duty' on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day service being the church's camera women. hahaha... I really had a good time at home until my heart felt so burdened to leave for Kota Kinabalu. Well, talking about departing Tawau, there is this joke which caused lots of laughter to me, my parents and so many others. It's a mistake I made. After telling the whole church, friends, relatives and so on that I am leaving on 26th morning, a friend even offered to send me to airport as her sister also on the same flight, I only checked and realise that my flight was not on morning, but in the evening. hahaha.... and by then, it was about 10pm on 25th evening. hahahahahahahahahaha...... My parents didn't really laugh at my mistake, but shock instead because this kind of things will never happen to me and had never happen before. I always very sure about all these. After I contacted the sister who was suppose to send me to airport, my parents said now they know how tired I am. hahaha... well? I was tired before I went back for Christmas. I ended up even pay my phone bill, post my christmas cards, do money transfer and others in Tawau on my arrival.
On Christmas day, my aunt who came back from England cook us the Traditional English Christmas dinner, with Turkey of course. Wow... I missed it so much. So, I had really a full meal on Christmas day. Well, well, well, I know some of you not fancy on Turkey... one reason I can tell is that you never tried the good one and you don't know how to make a good one. hahahaha...
Well, I came in to office only yesterday and at about 11am, my partner suggested we had a partner meeting. A few things were raised by her. One of it is that she think she brings in more clients and that she wanted more shares. She did said she wants to be the head of this firm (actually she is now, but if she think she isn't, that's because she never comes in office), which I am ok with it. But, when she started her second point which is she wants to bring in another 2 partners in the year ahead, this I can't agree with. We are in the midst of loading for more projects and clients and we can't even see where is our source of income is going to be for the year head and she is already wanted to bring more 'expenses' into our firm. If she is holding more shares, that's mean she is going to decide whether or not to consider my opinion. So, at this juncture, I do not think I can agree with her in this.
After talking to her, I went out for lunch. I don't feel happy about her suggestion of course. Firstly because I did bring in clients as well. Big one, for the future. Hers is soon going to be over as her files is finishing very soon. Mine is in the progress. Secondly, I am doing all the office administration and accounts including banking, etc and she is not. Thirdaly, she never comes in to office. For example, now is 11:02am and she is still not in. Forthly, what if I got more clients later?
Well, her tones of voice is certain that she wants a higher share. Therefore thoughout the whole evening, I am just thinking and thinking and came out with these 3 options. 1st, that we will see how thing goes for the coming year to decide. 2nd, she pay me a sum to get shares from me. 3rd, I ask for my 50% now and leave the firm. If the first 2 options are not acceptable to her, then I don't mind taking the 3rd one but I won't give notice to leave, she wants more shares, she breaks the contract and she has to give me the notice.
When my mind reached the 3rd option, although I am feeling a bit nervous and worry, but there's one thing that came across my mind that I wanted to do first. That is to go mission for say a month. Where? How can I tell you? hahahaha.... So, I guess after this, it would be mission works. Meanwhile, I have planned 3 to 4 other plans that are moving now and so, I am ok with not practising law.
I am meeting one of the plan's person in charge tomorrow. Another one next week and ops... I had a talk with another one this morning. All the plans are moving on. hahaha... So, it is her choice. If she thinks she can handle everything without me, then I am also ok with it.
Well, well, well... I think the GodlyLawyer needs to pray a lot. Can you join her, please? ... thanks.

Christmas Cards...

This is the first year I didn't send out christmas cards to anyone, including those who are expecting it from me. I never left out anyone during Christmas especially for those who are elsewhere besides Malaysia. However, this year my schedule is too full and too busy until I really have problem even getting some christmas cards. I always planned sending out christmas card in November but this November, I was so busy with works until I can hardly find christmas card. Well, I know, I know, I know... you might just said these are my excuses, etc. But frankly, my heart still feeling of sending some out but the reality told me it's too late now.
After lunch break just about half an hour ago, my clerk came back to office with a christmas card. It's for me. I was shock because I wonder who knows my address. Wow...it's from the law firm in KL. The lawyer is really nice. She sent me christmas card. haha... After pondering for a while, I really think that I should sent out to at least 3 places. To 2 of my previous firms in KL and 1 to this firm who sent me one. Am I too late to send them one now? ... goodness!!! Even if I send it by post laju tomorrow, it's going to be too late I think. So, I better send for both Christmas and New Year! hai...
Now wait.... when can I send again? OH NO.... I better look for some Christmas cards now...so that I can send out TODAY!!!
What a day.... oh.. to update you, my partner is now out of office, gone to this clients' office to get scolded. I know they sure scold me, etc. etc. hai... but as long as things is solved lah. Otherwise, cham loh... So, please pray hard, very hard for me.

Christmas Festives!

Christmas is always my best season of the year as it reminds me a lot of my happy moments and of course Jesus Christ. Of course I am not going to 'preach' about salvation and eternal life in this blog today. Aaaahhhaaaammm.... well, ... my cell group and I had became hawkers for the previous 2 evenings and although we didn't earn a lot, but it is fun. Fun in the sense, we manage to get along together and prepare things, doing preperation, arrangment together. Well, I guess we enjoy the process more than the profit we received. hahaha.... !!! It's tiring... but it is worthy.

A friend left for Tawau yesterday and so I thought I will have my own time for now until I go home (Tawau) on Friday. However, I just received a phone call about 4 hours ago that 2 friends are here in KK for course. Well, I don't know what to say but they are one of my good friend. At least they were there for me when I needed them and we shared a lot with each others. So, yes... I am meeting them for dinner at 9pm tonight. hahaha... weird hour? hmm... for us, may be not because we are 'trained' that way in KL. hahaha....

I was bother by a case since Monday. Was very worried about it yesterday and today, thank goodness my partner came back from holiday and she really solved half of the problem. I hope things will be solved perfectly well by tomorrow. Honestly, I am caught in between 2 parties and my client denied given us instruction, etc which they actually did and they are just 'cunning' and wanted a better and faster money. If you ask me why didn't I like conveyancing matter, well I guess the main reason is that most of the clients are developers or bankers and they are really has no knowledge of law and justice but what they have in their mind is only MONEY, MONEY and MONEY and that's why I hate it. Not that I hate money alone, but I hate the way they earn money. They are rich but their heart is black and I am sure spiritually, they are worse then a dead person. OK OK OK... am I getting too emotional now? haha.. I guess I am. hehehe...

Well, I can't wait to go home for Christmas to be honest. This month, business is consider moderate and I am issuing salary a week earlier to all. So, I hope everyone will have a merry and blessed Christmas!!!!

Christmas Caroling + Carnival

Yes. If you asked me what I was busy with, it's going to be Christmas activities. Christmas Caroling just finished last weekend and thereafter, it was the Youth Celebration (thank goodness I wasn't involve) and it's a preparation for the Gaya Street Carnival starting today, 18.12.2006 until 22.12.2006. Well, due to my tiredness since the drafting of the Sale and Purchase Agreement for one of my client in KL until now, wow... about 3 months plus now, that I didn't had enough sleep and rest. I enjoyed some of the moment of my busy schedule but not all. If you ask me which part I didn't enjoy the most, it is going to be the association with the people arounds me. I know we have different characters, but I really can hardly tolerate with some particular one. Well, althought I shouldn because I should love everyone as myself as the bible taught us, but I will have to say that, all these are really not self-induced and it is outer effect. Some do said I was stubborn for not going to sleep early, didn't eat on time, etc. But they didn't know that I was rushing for time and time and time and there's so many things in my hand. Some people always waiting for 'instruction' and they do not take initiave to help. The definition of "HELP" from this group of people is actually, WAITING FOR INSTRUCTION. Well, some of you do know that my definition of HELP is more than that. AAARRRGGGG....... I wanted a good, relaxing and quiet Christmas and I hope my 'going home for Chrismtas' this Friday will give me a good break.
Thanks to some of you who are being so considerate and encouraging. Without your SMS, Emails and phone calls, I would have been given up all these long time ago. Thank you!!!
So, I think you won't see me blogging for this week, until a day or two before Christmas. Do remember me in your prayer. I need it a lot!!!!

Water?

Errrrrggggg.....I hate it so much where there is no water and this has been happening ever since the first month I moved in. However, water did came at least once during midnight ... but not this week where water is cut off completely for 2 days now... I am not sure how long this is going to be... but it is annoying. I do need to wash my clothes, I need to bath, I need to use water... and all my stored up water is finishing. This is so annoying and it has added to my 'stressness'. I am already being bother so much by recent activities and my body is telling me that I cannot handle it soon but yet this water issue arose and this has really added a stone or two to my shoulder. I am exhausted...!!!
It has never been in my life that I did not send Christmas cards to friends and family outside this country. But I am sure this year this is going to happen as I am too busy until I failed to get some Christmas card on my hand.
Therefore my blog today is: A Prayer...
God, have mercy on me. Give me water that I need. Give me rest that I need. Help me Lord to celebrate Christmas with joyful heart. In the name of Lord Jesus I pray. Amen!

- Pondering -

It's such a joy to see so many familiar faces over the past few days, since the day I arrived Kota Kinabalu. Well, a group of friends from Kuala Lumpur were here for the Diocese English Youth Camp at Kota Kinabalu and therefore, I manage to met them. It's really so nice to be with them. However, over a conversation with a friend, I found out that someone said I am very difficult to get along with. Ahham... well, I admit I am because of the high standard of living that I am practising. hahaha.... !!! I can't please everyone. I admit that I was not making everyone's life any easier during my last 2 years of staying at this house in PJS Sunway. Mainly because conflict started before we moved in. I didn't want to sign the tenancy agreement as I know I will be leaving one day but I was being blamed for it. I wanted to move to stay in one of the room upstairs because my lung cannot contain too much smoke (they wanted to cook), they refused my request and yet still wanting to cook while I was sleeping at late night. I made a few complains after not having enough sleep (I thought this is normal as human being does react such way if they didn't get enough sleep) but I was being blamed for being unreasonable. Well, at most of the time, may be these people's job is just a bit low standard that they do not get tired at work and they can still play games and make noises to annoyed other housemates, they did that for one or two nights in the middle of the week, in the middle of the night.. and when I sounded my discomfort, I was being catogorised as 'unreasonable' and 'inconsiderate'. Well, well, well... may be all these are my fault... may be I did lives a different life because my work need so much of my brain and physical fitness. May be in the past, I was taught to sleep at night and they are not. I felt so upset when I heard that from a friend about an ex-housemate's complain. So, I took yesterday to ponder over things happen in the past and I realise that I really had not lived a happy life because of them. I wonder if the process of my brought up had anything to do with all these because I always lives alone... but wait... I choose to lives alone because I don't like to conflict with anyone. ... but when my mind wander to my life in England... I still remember... besides those nasty housemates I had in my first year, for the rest of my years in England, I had a very good time with all my housemates althought they are from different countries.
Now, I wonder if 'standard' of living is something that I need to look into. I guess... in England, we are all graduates, we are all mature, we all know how to handle our own self, we handle difficulties together, we just lives a different standard of life. I thought I am adapting to Malaysia 2 years ago but I guess, I am not exactly used to it still... So, my pastor in England was correct that reverse culture is more difficult than adapting a new culture. I thought I took 4 years to adapt Malaysia, but in fact, I haven't even manage to do it TODAY. Lower down my own standard to suit them while they never try to achieve higher standard is really not easy. I am not saying I am better, I am just saying... we are difference.
As Christmas is drawing nearer... and I should have sent out Christmas Cards by now which I failed to do, I really miss England... and I really miss my friends in England. Even last night while I saw sleeping, I dreamed of Mints Pies, Christmas pudding, and others... eeehmmmeee wow... !!!

Where am I?

Well, well, well... if you wonder my whereabout for the past week, hmm... I was at 3 different cities / towns for the past one week. Firstly, from Kota Kinabalu, I travelled to Kuala Lumpur. Stayed at Kuala Lumpur for 2 days and then travelled from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu. After I arrived at Kota Kinabalu for 1 day, I tried to sort out everything in the office and the next day, I travelled to Tawau to attend a best friend's wedding. If you really wanted to know my feeling, well I can only tell you that I am exhausted. Almost every single night, as soon as my head touched the pillow, I felt asleep IMMEDIATELY, regardless whether that is my 'usual resting place or position'.
Well, indeed my holiday in Tawau was good. I managed to play with my nephew and niece for a couple of days and also to met with some friends. I can't believe I have 4 friends got married during the whole 4 days. Thank God only one invited me and the other 3 didn't know I was in Tawau. Er.... Not that I do not WISH to attend their wedding, it is just that I was not informed earlier either. So, that's why I kept silent.
It is not so easy to have everyone from the family to be around. So, I really enjoyed myself a lot in Tawau although I was exhausted by the kids. hahaha...
