New watch!
After 3 times of trying to repair my faithful watch, it's not able to be fixed. To ease the discomforts of not having anything hang on my wrist, I look around the shop for one and I have purchased this. It's not what I usually will get, but ... I guess, I am ok with this for the time being...
The only embarrassment was, 2 of my credit cards were not able to swipe through and I ended up went to the bank and withdraw cash and return to get the watch. I think the shop owner must have thought I do not have enough money. hahahahaha.... Hence, even I have the cheque book with me, I didn't even ask if they will accept because, who on earth will believe a piece of cheque if 2 credit cards were not able to get through? hahaha..... I still think the shop's machine was faulty. hahaha....
By the way, it's a good timing to get this now as it's the 9th anniversary this year of being called to the Malaysia Bar.

Limited company? Trustee?
I wonder if anyone knows The Church of England is the biggest trust corporation in England, far bigger than the one who looks after all the heritage properties in England. Yes! You are hearing it right. A lawyer who has obtained distiction in the subject of Trust in her 3rd year degree is telling you this. I have heard many arguments on the money the members offer and give to the church. They have claimed that the monies are their money. I even heard that they claimed that they are the boss and all the priests' salaries are 'issued' by them. They claim they have the rights to know where every penny goes and for what purpose. Like what a limited company is, under the company act, every shareholders will be given a report every year to tell you where the monies goes. Whether it is making profit or not. Why are they investing in certain things, etc and what are they going to invest next year, etc. I have been working at the corporate law for some time and sorting out due deligent, etc. I know and aware of all the works and law when we are going to do all the things for limited company or even listed company. There's law governing this, under Company Act.
However, it is different when it comes to a trust corporation, which is not govern by Company Act, but Trustee Act or Trust Ordinance. Is there a requirement for the trustee to accountable to every single member on where the monies goes? I do however agree that accounts should be clear, accurate and transparents, but can one be sued for breach of trust for misused of money? What's the law governing this? Who can sue and on what basis? I must remind all that, Anglican is not a charitible organisation like any oyher independent churches. It is a trust corporation.
Whose money? Since young, i was taught to give tithe and offering to God, through church because all we received and have are from God, and church is the body of Christ. If you think that's your money, your tithes and offering are not acceptable by God. It's just a tradition you observe. It is obvious, you do not understand the meaning of tithes and offering. And it's between man and man, and not man and God. The relationship between you and God in your giving never exist. Yes, in a way, you actions has failed to please the Lord. Remember this, if you do not give, it is you who are lacking the blessing God says He is giving. How much have you invested in His kingdom? The Lord looks at our heart. Not how much you give.
Whose money and whether you should give to God? You decide. It all goes back to the teaching of God in the bible. It is up to you to whether follow the law governing company or you want to follow the bible and God's teaching! God is watching!

Defeated?
Wonder of all fights, who are being defeated? When church has quarrels, who get defeated? When the leaders gets pulled down from their seats, who get defeated? When people got angry, who gets defeated? When dissatisfaction, anger, unhappiness ruled, who gets defeated? I have the opinion that, WE ARE!. ALL OF US! Let me announced once and for all if you haven't heard the shouting victory yes: The winner of this game is Satan!!!! Yes. Are you hearing it? Satan won!
While you are bringing up all law suits, stupid arguments, stupid allegations, voice our your dissatisfaction, angry with the people who brought the matters up, angry with those 'betrayers', ... the Satan is the one who were and still, jumping shouting with joy! Jesus' face were slap again and again.... because of our stupid actions. Nope. It's not just Bishop Albert Vun's fault. It's not just Joshua Kong's fault. It's not just one person's fault. It's all of us who keep bringing down the glory of God by our action. YES. I do believe we all have our reasons and good intention in the beginning. But the methods used, were just turned wrong. I remember I keep reminding myself that Satan is smart, so smart that even we all get defeated, we didn't realised it. You might want to point your fingers on others saying they started it or whatever... but, it doesn't matter who started it, it matters now... of how it ends. Everyone started their career wanted to earn good money and raise their family happily. Everyone wants to get married and have a nice family. No one ever expect their spouse will commit adulterous, no one expect themselves will at the end turn out to be greedy and commit criminal breach of trust because of greed. Satan is THAT good if you haven't realised this yet. Satan turn a good intention into bad ... so that Satan wins. In this case, ... we all are loser... and the winner IS Satan.
Well, who let Satan wins? WE ALL ARE! We all get 'used' by Satan.
I asked a friend last year whether she realised, she was used by Satan to destroyed me. Whether the church realised they are used by Satan to destroy me. Nope. They didn't realised. They didn't even want to admit it. They pushed the blame to me saying I am the one who has lost focus on God. I must tell you the truth that, i didn't lost focus on God at all. It's just because I am so close with God that I realised, we are destructive ourselves. I keep praying for the right move.. asking God to spare me to be used by Satan one day to destroy His name. God spare me indeed. I was out of all these non-sense before it hits. I left that church that's full of Satan and out of being part of it. I am glad God listens to me and my prayer. I must say, God loves me.
Are you defeated now and lost your passions for God because of this matter? If you are, you are defeated because you walk with man rather than God. I am not. Somehow, this matter didn't affect me much. Instead, my passions for God continue to rise to another level. Where's my focus when everyone goes against me and said I am insane and I have spiritual problem, etc? My focus was and still is, with God alone. That, keeps me moving and having more passion for God.
Is how much time you spend in church and how many position you hold in church are the ways to determine how close are you to God? Apparently, it's NOT. People do not realised they got cheated by Satan in this even after they get cheated. They thought they are serving God? But if serving God doesn't make you grow spiritually and all you did was to fight like a lawyer in court for your own 'benefits', then... unfortunately, you are NOT serving God per se. You are serving yourself. Building your own reputation.
Remember the leaders I met in Christ Church Likas... it's heartache and sadness whenever I thought of them. Their heart is as hard as a ROCK. Not a stone. A ROCK. Unwilling to change, unwilling to listens, full of selfish ambitious and full of pride. They can't even understand the difference between one who graduated from a theological school with one who doesn't. They always think they still know everything the BEST. No heart of submission. It's a terrible place than a pub. Why people end up liking pub? Because it's an easier place to go. You need to be very careful to speak, to act in church... but not the pub.
Well, at least, until today, people still say, Lin Pei San is insane or has mental problem. Really? I do? If you still cannot see what I saw, you probably IS the one who has mental problem. Not me.
Yes. I think you are so much defeated than I am.

No one wins!
I think the decision made by the Archbishop/House of Bishops are quite fair. But of course, besides me, no one else think it is fair. hahaha.... people always think justice shall prevail and one party at least, shall feel happy about it. Those of you who are litigant, you would probably agree with me that, every single time when the Court has given it's ruling/decision, none of the party is actually happy about it. That's the fact. Either you get sued or you are the one suing. Either way, both parties are the losers. The winner goes to the lawyers. hahahahaha... Yes. There's not a single time, I see, even the winning party are happy about the decision a court ruled the case. Or rather, if there's, it's only for a short period of time. They will feel utterly sad when the lawyer start billing them for winning the case. No one is a winner. That's what I am trying to say.
If the matter of bishop has been submitted to the House of Bishops. The decision was made and everyone should subject to the decision, including....the decision to close all the blogs. It's not whether you like it or not. It's an issue of submission. So what? If the referee on last night's match decided to send out a Liverpool player... you are not happy about it and you still have to follow the decision aren't you? Are you going to bring the referee to the Court of Law and sue him for sending the player out, which you think it's suppose to be given a yellow card instead of a red card? Come on.. decision is out, it's time to learn how to submit yourself to the law/the decision.
Everyone is hurt. I cannot remember how many times I got hurt by bishop, my ministers, by people, but church members, by everyone... so what if you bring them to court? What will you get at the end seriously? To be bishop? Do you seriously am thinking to be a bishop of diocese of sabah? If you are, then do you want another groups of people to do the same to you? Bring you to court whenever they feels like?
Let this be an end, I urge you all. Where's the brotherly love that Jesus asked us to have? So what if bishop made a mistake? Can you not love him anymore? Is this the love Jesus ask you to demonstrates? So what if these groups of people who are like cunning lions who brings everyone to the court? Can we love continue to love them? So what if church is not loveable? Church is not suppose to be lovable in the first place because it's a place only sinners will enter. So, why can't we just stop and start loving each others again?
It's hard... but like I said, no one is winning. Everyone is hurt. We all are. Therefore we need Jesus.
People, start focusing on Jesus, on God. If you love your God, would you do anything to destroy His body? If you love your neighbours, would you use defamatory words on them? It's sad to realised, we have failed to acknowledged that we are not perfect.
We are not perfect. That's why Jesus gave us commandment, to love our neighbours as ourselves. It's one of the hardest lesson to learn. It all starts with, our willingness to start working on it.
Yes. No one wins! and no matter how far you bring this matter to, no one will wins still. So, don't waste time and energy (like i told some of my clients).

Justice?
As a lawyer for many years now and I sometimes wonder what justice is. People love to take justice in their own hand. I guess that's why we have Court to see who has the greatest power to determine and decide a decision that what we all call - justice. Surprisingly, there's this criminal case recently made the headline of the news in the courts arena. Not because the judge made a decision which's so rightfully just. But, he had made a ridiculous decision without following or base on the law in this country. It's a statutory rape (i.e. committing rape on a girl below certain age). But the judge was asking if there's any 'consent' on the act. It's ridiculous because the Penal Code is clear that consent shouldn't be an issue if the rape is statutory. You may want to call that justice to the accused. But it's definitely not justice for the girl or her family.
We all, as the anglican member for the Diocese of Sabah. At least, I am the 5th generation, where my great great grandfather was one of the founder of the anglican member. As a lawyer, I am very into the constitution of the Anglican province, etc. etc. even though I am might not voice out be out spoken or outstanding, or active in the church, but.... i definitely is a truly Anglican.
When the Bishop was being criticized, my heart feels so painful just like a sword pierce into it. I don't agree with some of the thing he decided to do or had done, including rejected me again and again from going on missions or going full time. But hearing a God's people who keep saying they want justice to prevail, i wonder, where should the 'balance' of justice strike. Can we even balance it? Can you tell the world he has not done anything good for the Diocese of Sabah? Can you say he is mistaken-less? I think we are all human. We disappoint some people, we 'scarifies' them for a works that God wants us to do. And now, we are being accused, and being brought to the Court of law? Is this fair? Is this justice?
For those who only looks at the money you have 'invested' into and yet thinking that your money is in vain.... you will have to look around..... look around the world. Look around the city of KK and start wonder which part of KK has not advanced and their building be renovated and being painted? Do you like to stay at the condominium where the management has not taken step to beautify the building? I am sure the bishop and his children will not stay at the current bishop house for long... they are getting married, moving out and the bishop is going to retired. So, what's wrong with renovating the place they are staying now? If St.Patrick's church refuse to change and build the House of Prayer, do you think we can have enough space to celebrate 95 years anniversary today? I grew up in St.Patrick. I was living in one of the staff quarter next to the church. I climb the big tree that they had taken down. Did anyone disagree with the primary school being taken down and move up to where it is now? I didn't study in that school, but I grew up there. It's my play ground. 1/3 of my life were spent there. Did I refuse and disapprove any of the project and improvement? Did my parents did or whoever that's did? We all didn't because we want to see a better future. Many came to back including those Australian who were serving in Tawau together with my dad and mom for the 95 anniversary. Many came over to visit my dad. All I heard was ... how much sacrifices my dad did to help the poor and needy to come to know Christ. How much he has made differences to make the church grow. From the English congregation, because of my dad, Chinese congregation were set up, there after, the BM congregation. Of course, not only my dad, but also others... some, already passed away.
I am quite please with Archbishop Bolly's letter to the Diocese on the decision made. But some how, that group people who started all these, think they can do better by continuing their acts further by setting up another meeting and all. My heart sank when I read that they are going to have a meeting. May be I should call the police and tell them about illegal gathering? Speaking and discussing on JUSTICE... if setting up your own meeting and goes against Archbishop Bolly's decision is good? Now, are they going to come up with all the bad things Archbishop Bolly did previously and started to goes against his decision?
Archbishop Bolly already said blogger should refrain from putting up more accusations in the blog. The letter was dated 18th September 2012. But unfortunately, today, I am still reading it.
Justice shall prevail? It depends on whose angle are u looking at. It's very unjust for Bishop Albert if this continue now.
Are you seeing any justice taken or given by the blogger?

Born rich? Born poor?
Ever since I am a boss, since last year... life has been challenging because every month's collection will determine whether I can pay my expenses. Speaking of expenses, it has been 4x more these days. Furthermore, I will need to pay for rental, for workers' salaries, etc. etc. Paying 3 to 4 phone bills, 4 house insurance, house loan, office rental, 3 houses' electricity and water bills, 2 cars, air fares, taxi fares, petrol, and others. God somehow blessed me so much. At least there's months where my account nearly came to RM0. But most of the months, it's sufficient and I still have at least RM200 cash.
I walked into court many times, met a few young lawyers who set up their firm on their 1st, or 2nd year of practice and they don't seems like they have the problem I am facing. They are driving a Merz, a Lexus, a CRV, VW, whatever nice and good car we have in the market. Their office is nicely renovated, they are wearing branded suits and shoes, carrying a classy leather bag. All of them looks like a famous and rich lawyer. I am too a lawyer, who has practice on the 8th year and yet, I struggle every minute and I wonder if there's fairness or justice in this world. Some lawyer, put on craps all the way ..... and yet, the Court granted them what they ask for. Innocent people get stuck in the prison and end up paying money to others because of the craps all these lawyers are doing. The lawyer remain as 'good lawyer' to many because he wins the case, being famous and rich.
It's my life... who need to pay debts/study loan, etc. the moment I graduated. I don't have a rich dad. I do not have a dad who is running a business who can back me and my law firm up like others. I do not have many connection because all my connection are church people, who will 100% not coming to me if they face a problem. I bought my own car with my saving. I bought my own house with my own's earning. And I am still paying debts with no help from parents, from sibling, from friends, from husband. I can only try harder and harder with my own ability.
For a moment in life, when my ability to think and ability to work was jeopardize by sickness, it really scares the hell lot of me. I started to think, what happen if one day, I am not dead, but i lost the ability to work at all? Situation will be worse than last year. No one is going to help me. Just like last year. No one is going to pity on me. What if I am like my dad's condition now where I can't even kill myself? Damn... it scares hell lot of me man. hahaha... It's a fact, no one is going to be around when I face any problem. I need to solve it out myself. I am not like other who has born rich and can have their family to sustain them financially, emotionally, etc. But not me.
I can strive harder while I can now. I won't know when I will be paralyzed.

I am not like other who has born rich and can have their family to sustain them financially, emotionally, etc. But not me.
I can strive harder while I can now. I won't know when I will be paralyzed.
