Breaking point!

I thought i was the only one who had reached my breaking point when my dad had suffered stroke. But that's not the case.  Some, taking it as a normal thing because besides hearing it from me, they do not know my dad well. And most of those i know in KK are from this category.  Some, do know my dad very well and what happen to him, has somehow affected them. Last week, i had someone who came all the way from New Zealand to spent 15 mins with my dad.  Someone who was here and migrated. He just heard the news from his son who is in Hong Kong, whom were one i met up with on my last trip.
Last night, i went out with one of my best friend who came back from England and she's probably the first few whom i told about what had happen to me last year. Not all of course. But from facebook status, she does realised i am not only depressed, but was also met the breaking point which she once suffered. While i was sending her home, she told me she just remember i was the one who brought her to church. That was 13 years old.  Along the way, her life has not been easy. With the demise of her dad while she was in England on her 3rd year, with the demise of her youngest sister few years later, with nearly being adjudicated bankrupt, with a sister who committed suicide.... she believed in Christ and we have been around her all these years.  Suddenly she told yesterday there's twice these few years that she refuse or angry with God.  She couldn't understand or find a reason to believe Him anymore.  once, when her best friend suffered stroke 3 years back and died.  and now, my dad.... someone who served Him all of His life, who is also suffering from all these pain and suffering. And so, when the church asked her to be a cell leader, she's very confuse and she is still confuse. She asked, if that's what i am feeling...
Seriously, i don't know!  Is it God or the church? Both are not making sense. Especially with those hypocrites in the church. i seriously don't know.... all i know was,  i've met the breaking point and i have been broken because i didn't and still don't have any support.
i still think everyone eventually will reach that point at least once in their life time.  When this came from this friend of mine who had gone through so much,  i know how much my dad's incident had impacted her.  However, i am glad she is still attending church and serving God in this new place she just moved to.

The New Rules of Court 2012

Starting from 1 August 2012, there's no more The Rules of High Court 1980 and The Subordinate Court Rules 1980.  It's replaced by The Rules of Court 2012.  After studying, using, memorising the Rules since came back in 2000, somehow, the replacement is making me very confuse into the Rules in Court these days.  One of the significant change of the Rules is that there is no more application in High Court make by Summons In Chambers (SIC).  I was first taught about using SIC for all my High Court interlocutory proceeding by a senior and I remember he reminds me that as long as it's a High Court matter and you need to apply for some interlocutory proceeding, you need to put in SIC instead of Notice of Application (NOA).  But there won't be any SIC now.
I somehow, made a mistake in one of my application in Court and I need to file in an SIC in Court for amendment which the hearing was fixed on the 1 August 2012.  So, in a way, I managed to file the last SIC on the 30th July 2012 and get the last SIC heard on the 1 August 2012 at Tawau High Court.  Proud to realised that I am one of those who survives SIC era and ended it when the new Rules of Court 2012 is implemented.  No more SIC anymore.  No more drafting of it and no more filing of SIC anymore.
And the New Rules has made me filed my first Magistrates' Court Writ on the 3rd August 2012 too.  Messed it up with the fees and the e-filing, but i survived with the new Writ.  Yes.  No more Summons.... it's just WRIT, in Magistrates' Court and Sessions Court.
I do feel like I am once again a newly graduated law student and learning new Rules of Court. hahaha...I guess, somehow this keeps me from being a litigation lawyer still, though I am sucks as one.

New Layout!

I am trying to draw a line in between old and new chapters.  Oh well, we don't usually do that unless something major happen.  But I am drawing it because I have successfully cross over a boundary I wasn't able to for the past 37 years.  Some new achievement in spiritual, in my career, in my life, achievement, emotions, health.  Amazing, with my motto set last year for the year... "Stay alive", I somehow managed to stay alive for the past 7 months.
Great achievement to be able to voice things out and share with great friends about what happen to me.  To be able to share a little bit more about what's my aim, my worries, etc.  A great achievement to be able to put the past behind me and move on.  IT's a great achievement to be able to accept the fact that, it's the church that caused my break down, etc and yet, not blaming it all to them, but to myself, to have such expectation on the church and some leaders of the church.  I should have known when one or two of them told me, pastoral care is to be practice by the priest alone.  It's not something I have known or taught with as a leader for the past 25 years.  Serving in this church is challenging and yet... I am putting a stop to it.
As usual, people who knows me, will know exactly whether what they heard is correct or incorrect.  I hates lies... and for those who lied to me, I am hurt and for those who lied on me, I am feeling even more hurtful.  However, I am drawing this think line now.. to signifies that for the coming future... this will be gone past me like what Jenny Lim did to me.
I will try to keep the motto until the end of the year, with additions sub-motto which states: "- happily" now.  I am happy with my life.  I am contented.  I am satisfied.
I hope this last.
