Many says being the youngest in the family, you have all the privileges and more, if you are a girl. Well, my experiences tells me, that's not true at all. Being the youngest in the family, I always get bullied and at all time, I am being misunderstood. Hmm... may be only in my family? Since both my parents and my brother are the eldest in their family and hence, they have not being able to understand what the younger sibilings think? Whatever...
First it was the court which upset my schedule and then, my dear brother. Well, they always think and my parents think the same too, that my brother has a very busy schedule which we all needs to suits into his schedule when it come for a time of gathering. Well, obvioiusly I have no 'excuses' like a family, my husband's schedule, my children's schedule to be used on requested for the 'best' time, but... I have no idea why is his schedule is harder and complicated then mine.
See, since the day I realise I need a nice diary in hand to motivate me to work harder, I got myself a new one last Saturday. I was transferring all the dates into this new one. Even though this is the 2nd/3rd week of January, I took about 2 hours to get all the informations transferred to the new one. It's say to be MY diary but in actual fact, it just a diary with all the court dates on - dates fixed by the Courts, according to THEIR diaries. Being practised in Kuala Lumpur for a few years, I used to the methods of asking the Court to fix a date of my availability (no, you can't do that in KL anymore I heard) because generally, one firm will have 20 cases a day and it's just too 'risky' to get another case fixed on the same date. I seldom ask the Court to give me a date which suits me because I know how many cases a court has in one day, unless it is necessary. I remember being scolded by a High Court Judge last year when I told him, I have another matter on the same day. I remember a case of mine was struck out because I wasn't present for it and I am still fearing that I will be sued, etc. Oh well... to many, it's just a date, it's just work. Ask someone in the office to cover it. Well, ... if that's as easy... I wouldn't have the problem now when my schedule is upset.
Well, what I have to tell you is, I was 'summoned' to go home for a longer period of time then weekend this coming weekend, simply because my sister in law have to come to KK for some discussion between 14 to 18th. Four days of discussion...? No other time can be allocated? Well, I give them the benefit of doubt, that there's no other time but they do have to understand I too have a packed schedule too. It's not about 'arranging' like what they did and I am off from work. So, yes... I am still thinking if I should come back after the weekend and then go back again on the 20th, to just celebrate my nephew's birthday. Oh yes... they requested me to be there for his son's birthday and also because my dad want a family photo. So... !!! Now, it all depends on whether the agent of this client will be able to provide for me the documents I requested by this week. If no, ... hmm... I don't know... !
