Holiday - Macau Day 1

On the 27th day of May 2010, we have decided to leave Hong Kong to Macau. Our plan was to walk around Mongkok in the morning and left Hong Kong around 4pm. It's as planned. We checked ourselves out as early as 9am and put our luggages at the Lobby and we took the MTR to Mongkok. We started to walk around before all the shops were open. So, we basically walked around the streets. From planning not to buy anything that morning, I ended up bought a pair of shoes (Clark Original) and some candies... After a long walk, we stopped by a corner stall for a bowl of noodle (recommended by my cousin). Even though the place is a bit run down compare to the busy commercial streets, that bowl of noodle was actually quite delicious. We went back to hotel after that to rest for a while before we took a taxi to the ferry station (15 mins walk, but 5 mins taxi). We manage to catch the 4pm ferry to Macau.

When we arrived Macau around 6pm, we took the hotel's bus to the hotel. Got ourselves checked in. We went for portugal dinner after our shower and ... enjoyed some night scenes!!!!

Holiday - Day 3!

Works has been so busy that I only manage to try to get Day 3 in to this blog. Well, on the 3rd day, we have decided to pay Stanley a visit as we all wanted to know a bit more about Hong Kong then it's normal busy streets and people. After finding out which bus to take and so on (thanks to Debbie who has been memorising the 'text book - map' we have), we took a bus and we arrived at Stanley Market at about 10am. As early as 10am, the market was a bit quiet, but a few shops has started operation and there's this shop sells souvenir (local pearl) has caught out eyes and attention and we picked some souvenir. After a 30 mins of shopping at that particular shop, we were introduced to the library which was being awarded for it's architectual success and to the only breakfast place which is famous for it's toast and 'milky tea'. After a delicious breakfast, we walked to the beach and the scenary was superb. We thank God for a wonderful sunny day. Lots of pictures/potraits photographs were taken on 2 very beautiful and pretty ladies (no. I don't want to endanger my own life, hence, I am not posting it up).
It was a good rest from a busy streets in Hong Kong city. We love that place and have decided to stay there if we happen to go back to Hong Kong for holiday. Well, we left the beautiful place about 2pm and we headed to Tai Koo city. While I left the two at the shopping mall, I went to visit my newly born niece at my cousin's place. She is so lovely ... she woke up just to welcome me to visit her. hahahaha... Well, I went back to Tai Koo shopping mall near MTR and we all went to Mong Kok (Wong Kok). We walked around the streets for a while, had dinner and we head back to Kowloon .... to look for CHARLIE BROWN CAFE! With the help of my cousin, we finally got to that place. We were so tired and our legs can hardly function by then but it's 'refreshing' when we saw cute and nice cartoon like Linus, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, Woodstocks... you name them. hehe...
It's a very tiring day and by the time we reached the hotel, .... we ended our Hong Kong evening time... Yes, we planned to go to Macau the next day afternoon. So, we started to pack as we planned to check ourselves out when we go out.

Holiday - Day 1 & 2 !

It's my second time to visit Hong Kong and Macau from 24th to 29th day of May 2010. This time, I went with 2 friends and therefore, I will have to pay for accommodation. I didn't plan to stay with my cousin from the beginning and so, when I heard that she is expecting a baby sometime around the end of May, I was overjoyed as there's a good chance that I will be able to see this little niece of mine. hehe...

Well, the flight was rescheduled and so, we departed from Kota Kinabalu to Macau on at around 2:20pm. By the time we reached Macau and we took a ferry to HK (Kowloon), we arrived around 8pm. We checked ourselves in to the hotel (BP International) and we asked for a map and we started to walk around. We walked and walked and we arrived at Temple Street... and we started to open our eyes and purchased a few things. After that, we went back to hotel, planned what to do the next day and we went to bed after a shower.

The next day, we went to a place near us for breakfast (Dim Sum) as early at 8am. It took use a while to locate the place as it is located in a very odd location. The place was suggested by my cousin and hence, we tried to ordered something we do not have in Malaysia. Ghoosh.. it was then I realise, I was with two friends who doesn't know how to read chinese... and I have to do all the translation. You might know, some of the words, even if we pronoused it, it is IMPOSSIBLE to translate, especially if they are a 'dish'. If you know what I mean... but well, we ordered a few and after that we walked all the way down to the Avenue of Stars. We didn't finish the whole walk as it is long and the weather was so hot. Half way throught we turned back and we headed to Victoria Harbour to take a ferry across to Hong Kong Island. It's cheap and it's a nice ride. We enjoyed the ride.... when we reached Hong Kong Island, we walked to the 5th Pier area and catched Bus No. 15 to The Peak. ( None of us want to take the tram up to The Peak ... I don't know their reason, but mine... the previous one I took was terrible... ). When we got down from The Peak, we went to Causeway Bay where we walked around (too expensive to shop), had a drink, bought a shoes (Birkenstock) and headed back to Kowloon's victoria harbour, to wait for the 8pm symphony of Light...

After that, we hang around that area, we went to Esprit warehouse for a while and we walked around before we head back to the hotel.

Well, we got all the 'sightseeing' spots covered on the first & second day....
