KL visit...

Ever since I came back from Kuala Lumpur, a place where I stayed for 7 plus years before I came back to Sabah, I went back a few times, ... but all, for a very short period of time, and it's WITH purpose. Once, for the signing of Sale and Purchase Agreement of our Diocese's church building at Bandar Sunway, then, a wedding of 2 very good friend of mine, and then, few days visit with 2 of my friends, then my dad's 70 years old anniversary. This time, it was for court hearing which I need to attend as I am the executor of a dear friend of mine who passed away few months ago. I missed the funeral... I haven't got even the chance to visit his tombstone still (I promise one fine day, I will), well... the return to Kuala Lumpur this time, not an easy 'return' simply because, it's not the same anymore. Even the court and its system is very much different, besides that, it's the first time I checked in a hotel and went around MegaMall all by myself. It's less then 48 hours I was in Kuala Lumpur, but, I thank God, for friends...

Worth it?

I seriously dislike the feeling I am getting every Wednesday! First, I am always so busy on Wednesday that I can't go home to prepare for cell meeting earlier. Then, I have to prepare cell meeting. Worse still when one or two are telling me they can' t do what the are scheduled to do. Thirdly, throughout the whole meeting, despites my tiredness and worries, I have to put it aside and attend other's need. The worse feeling is, the meeting belongs to me, not ours. At the end, 'dài si' is what they call me, who's taken the challenge to lead the cell group.

At the end of the day, does anyone remember what I ever said? And, does anyone ever give comforts to me? All I get is, non supportive reaction and look as if, I am 'dai si'.

Ya... Worth it?

Treasures in heaven....

I attended the cell leaders' refresher course these 2 days even though I used to be a supervisor and cell leaders for the past 17 years and attended more than 10 times of this same course/training. Well, I was a bit reluctant at first, but as much as what it is suppose to be - refresher course, I am refreshed. hehehe...
Sadly, most of the people do not see the needs to attend the said training/course. I am not sure what is the reason. Most probably it's a short notice (less than a month's notice) and CCL leaders has this 'tradition' to go away from KK during long weekend and/or holiday. Oh well, this has somehow kept me thinking... of whether we put our treasures in heaven or on earth. Do we want to enjoy the 'holiday' on earth then putting the 'holiday' and fun in heaven for later? Do we sacrifies time for the Lord and for His kingdom then our own schedule or programmes and enjoyment? I really wonder...
I can say that, until today (after 4 years of starting of cell group in CCL), my cell is the ONLY cell that runs the 5W and we run it as it is suppose to be. Others do not see the needs of following the same 'methods' simply because first, they do not understand how effective it is and secondly, it's because they do not want to have a changes in their cell/fellowship/group meeting. I am seriously discouraged today after the refresher course, as only a handful of people attended, Oh.. i mean, a handful of LEADERS (which they always call themselves as) had attended.
I wonder, if they want to be leaders only or are they looking for expanding His kingdom. If it is the later, I do hope they do discover what it means by putting treasures in heaven in terms of their time, their dedication, their submission and so on. I am disappointed, but I am too, reminded... of the same point - putting treasures in heaven (His kingdom).
