On the same day, my friend and I suffered from understand on the attitudes of people. She suffered from being accused of bad attidues even though she was just standing there and being scolded, being told she is of a 'lower graded' compare to him as he has worked in the medical profession for the past 30 years. After listening to this story for a few times, I really wonder if having a 30 years plus experiences in medical profession warrant one to have the rights even to scold people and/or look down at people, especially those who are new to the profession. Hmm...... and that drives me to ponder for a long while of who has the worse attitudes after all. I don't want to tell you how many senior lawyer who has bad attitudes that I have made so far, but seriously, I don't remember them at all. However, I do remember the 2 whom I repect fully all these while since my pupillege time. Although I cannot remember their name, but I can remember their faces well until today. They are so humble and they even share their knowledge with us, the young one then. In court, they asked us why are not sitting in front and we told them we reserve that for the senior lawyer and to my amaze, one of the senior lawyer told us that, no respect should be given for those who come late. The seats as such shouldn't be reserved for them, no matter how senior they are. Now, tell me, if 30 over years of experiences will warrant one a rights to have a bad attitudes and at the same time, scold one for his/her attitudes because they just kept silent????
I however, was really bothered by this office boy of mine. I gave him some documents to file in to the court on Monday afternoon before 1pm and only on Tuesday afternoon around 12:30pm, he came and told me he didn't manage to do filing and he won't be able to do it for the rest of the day as the court has no electricity supply until 5:30pm. I was shock. As that's the last day of my filing. I don't usually do last day filing, and that's why I gave it to him on Monday. When he told me that, 1st, I thought he should have got that done at least on Wednesday morning itself. But obviously he didn't. 2nd, I don't believe we cannot do filing because of no electricity. Obviously, he has not done his best to find out. I told him there's deadline for litigation files, etc and I need that to be done on yesterday itself. He look at me, with a smile, thinking I was joking. I told him, I don't believe.. then I was into my room and just when I entered my room, he said, "if you don't believe, you do filing yourself then". With that phrase ... I told him, I can do the filing and if I manage to get those documents in, I am going to fire him. He was angry and walked out the office. Yes, we got the matter sorted (yes, we manage to file the documents yesterday itself) ... but I was seriously upset of the incident happen. I wonder, if I had a very bad attitude myeslf or him?
Now, if the 30 years plus experiences doctor has the right to have a bad attitudes, does my office boy with less than 6 months experiences also warrant a right? Tell me... can I now show a bit of attitudes since I am in the middle ?????
