The word "Amazing" was recently being heard so frequently lately because we have a theological student from England with us for about 2 months. Since the first day when we picked him up from the airport, he has described most of the things done by me as "amazing". haha...
He sprained his ankle on his second day of arrival and I ended up being assigned to take care of him and so, I bought him some chinese medicine on the night of the injury and brought him to see doctor the next day. So, he described me and my action as 'amazing'.
However, I had been absent in KK for a week and was sick for 3 weeks and hence I didn't get any more chance to bring him around. We only manage to chat a bit when we met in church. He visited my cell group about 3 times and we had lots of fun with him around. You can imagine most of the people are trying very hard to listen to what he's saying. hahaha.. and it's funny when you see people giving this 'dunno' face expression on their face. When jokes was told, most couldn't capture the 'goodness' of the jokes. So, ya... we had lots of fun!
As I know he likes insect as he studies Zoology as his Hons degree, we did managed to brough him to see some insect and that's one of the thing he's looking forward for in Sabah. I remember him mentioning about stick insect on the first day we met. As he is leaving this coming Sunday, I have decided to buy him a gift. I just happen to remember this when I finished my lunch yesterday. My friend and I walked in to a sovenier shop and thinking of getting him something light so that he has no problem in bringing it back to England. Just before we pay for a gift we thought which is quite suitable for him, we saw the stick insect is frammed nicely in a box as a souvenier. I took a few seconds to make the decision whether to get him that because it's rather big in size. Well, we bought them somehow, thinking that he would definately happy to have it as sovenier.
Another cell member passed the gift to him this morning and I received a sms right after that from him saying that it's amazing for me to give him such an amazing gift. hahahaha... I am glad that he likes it. Well, I hope he manage to bring it back to England. It's amazing to meet this friend. - amazing -
